The Russian project North Stream 2 pipeline is the sort of veiled hostilities against Europe and European consumers. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said in an interview with the German national daily newspaper Die Welt.

"The Nord Stream 2 project is a form of a covert war against Europe. We know how it is to be dependent on Russia in terms of energy and politics. From our own experience, we know how dangerous it is. Hence, now we take this project as Russia's geopolitical weapon", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

He emphasized that the preserving by Ukraine of a priority gas transit country status has a great security and political significance for the whole of Europe. "We offered our partners in the West to manage our gas transit system together. Its capacity is 140 billion cubic meters. Our gas storage facilities allow us storing for up to 1,000 days. This is a huge potential", the Head of Government added.
