Ukraine continues preparations for the World Expo 2020, which will take place in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. For the first time, Ukraine is participating in this exhibition at such a high level with the opportunity to construct its national pavilion.
The concept of the exhibition pavilion of Ukraine is united under the general theme "Smart Ukraine: Connecting Dots" and provides for the presentation of Ukraine as an innovative country that is developing dynamically and makes significant efforts to implement smart technologies.
As of December 31, 2020, 60% of the entire project implementation for the preparation of Ukraine's participation in the exhibition was provided and approximately 65% of the cost of the entire project was financed. A four-storey pavilion has already been built for finishing with a total area of 2,600 m2 and a height of 15 meters. The following steps of project implementation preparation are as follows: arrangement of the pavilion of Ukraine, maintenance, preparation and organization of the cultural, business and presentation program of the pavilion’s work.
"Participation in the exhibition "Expo 2020" will have a positive impact on the international image of Ukraine, will allow the country to expand trade and economic cooperation, attract foreign entrepreneurs to cooperate with Ukrainian business and increase foreign investment in Ukraine's economy. Our national pavilion will demonstrate that Ukraine has unique talents with innovative and creative thinking, who are able to combine technological solutions with traditional production of goods and services," said Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Oleksandr Romanyshyn.
World exhibitions or "Expo" - are the most prestigious image exhibitions in the world, where participating countries demonstrate the uniqueness of their cultures and national identity, economic and scientific as well as technological potential.
The exhibition "Expo 2020" will last 6 months with 28 million visitors, 190 participating countries, 10 international organizations are expected.
The World Expo 2020 was scheduled for 2020, but due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the event was postponed for a year.
