  • Preparation for the heating season: Ministry for Communities and Territories Development continues to verify the technical readiness of the regions

    Regular visits by employees of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development to the regions to assess the level of readiness of housing and communal services and social facilities for the heating season of 2021-2022 are underway. Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development Natalia Khotsianivska told about the preparation of Chernihiv region.

    "Technical gearing up of housing and social facilities for the heating season is according to the schedule. This is evidenced by the results of visits of specialists from the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, who have already inspected 14 regions. Currently, the pace of training in these areas meets the expected indicators," said Natalia Khotsianivska.

    Thus, currently the level of preparation of heating facilities, housing and social facilities in Chernihiv region is over 90%. 3,850 out of 4,229 residential buildings, 690 out of 765 boiler houses and 118 out of 125 central heating stations have already been prepared.

    About 90% of water and sewage networks, pumping stations, treatment facilities and boreholes are also ready for operation in the autumn-winter regime.

    In addition, more than 451,000 square meters of streets and roads out of 501.5 (90.0%) were repaired in the region, 21,100 tons of bulk materials and reagents (90.2%) were procured.

    It should be noted that housing and social facilities must be 100% ready by October 1.

    As a reminder, earlier the Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov reported that preparation for a heating season is in focus of attention of the Government, in particular that of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development as well.
