May, 4, there took place a meeting of the Organizing Committee for preparation and holding of events in 2018 dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and to the 73rd anniversary of  the victory over Nazism in World War II. It was chaired by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko.

The participants of the meeting considered issues pertaining to the preparation of events and the payment of one-off assistance until May 5.

According to the Vice Prime Minister, in 2018 financial resources to the tune of UAH 1.3 billion are laid in the state budget for a one off immediate payment till May 5. "This year, a sum worth  UAH  1.3 UAH billion was allocated for the payment of one-time assistance for 1.2 million people. Among them are veterans of war, combatants and anti-terrorist operation participants, who will also receive corresponding amounts of financial aid", Pavlo Rozenko underscored.
