During his working visit to Germany, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov met with Governing Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner.
The parties discussed support for Ukrainians temporarily residing in Germany, as well as joint steps to strengthen ties between Ukraine and Germany.
The parties also discussed practical steps to open a centre for the Ukrainian community in the German capital, the Unity Hub. Berlin has become a refuge for nearly 72,000 Ukrainian citizens who were forced to leave their homes because of the war.
“Thank you for the assistance already provided and the solidarity Berlin has shown since the first day of full-scale war. This support is invaluable for the Ukrainian people,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
