The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will submit the draft state budget for 2019 to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine until September 15, as required by the current legislation. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko on air of "Pryamiy" (Direct) TV channel.
"Last year, for the first time in the history of independence, the Government had submitted the draft budget for 2019 before September 15, as stipulated by the Constitution of Ukraine. I am convinced that this year, the Government before September 15, or maybe even a little bit earlier, will table the document in the Parliament", the Vice Prime Minister stressed.
According to him, a significant part of the state budget funds will be aimed at further strengthening the country's defense capability and increasing financial support for military personnel.
Pavlo Rozenko placed a special emphasis on the fact that economic situation and level of economic growth give grounds to say that next year the increase of social standards will continue. "I can already say for sure that from January 1, 2019, the size of the minimum wage and the size of pensions will grow," he noted.
The state budget for 2019 budget, according to the Vice Prime Minister, is socially focused and, at the same time, realistic. "The budget will be honest, there will not be inflated numbers", Pavlo Rozenko summed up.
