Additional payments to pensioners who receive a minimum pension and have a sufficient insurance record will not provoke inflation. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko on air of the Pryamy (Direct) TV channel.
"We are talking about one-time payment for those people who have a long pension insurance record. This is compensation for 2015-2016. The compensation amount will be UAH 2,410, and this payment will be divided into two tranches. The first tranche - from March 1, and the second tranche - from April 1", explained the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to him, additional payments will not trigger inflationary processes. "In this way, we will both balance the budget of the Pension Fund, and will not allow the hryvnia to devalue or a rise in prices in Ukraine. This, in my opinion, is an absolutely correct decision - to make payments in two tranches in order not to exert an additional burden on the Ukrainian economy", added Pavlo Rozenko.
