Minister of Justice of Ukraine Pavlo Petrenko met with the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatović. The meeting took place as a part of the Minister’s visit to Copenhagen, Denmark.
According to the Minister, Ukraine only after the Revolution of Dignity commenced serious and consistent work aimed at fulfilling judgments made by the European Court of Human Rights for the benefit of Ukrainian citizens.
The Minister of Justice noted reforms being introduced in Ukraine are aimed at ensuring the implementation of all civil rights and freedoms encapsulated in the Convention on Human Rights and its protocols.
The sides stressed the need to continue introduction of changes that will enable Ukrainians to receive repletion of wants at the national level without seeking protection of their rights in international institutions.
