The Verkhovna Rada voted for the amendments to the Law on the State Budget-2019 with 291 MPs backing this decision.
Parliament endorsed the Government's proposal to allocate funding worth UAH 1 billion to address the acute problems in the coal industry, and the payment of wages to miners.
“We are increasing the expenditures for solving social issues. Among those are the wages for miners, for rehabilitation and for resolving housing issues of ATO participants,” said Oleksiy Honcharuk.
It should be noted, on October 28, the Government extended the program of construction of affordable housing. The decision stipulates for an additional UAH 300 million to allow by the end of 2019 to build affordable housing in the suburban areas of Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv for about 950 families, of which 700 families of internally displaced persons and about 200 families of participants of ATO/JFO.
