Foreign partners commended the program initiated by the President of Ukraine to pay UAH 1,000 to vaccinated people as one of the best programs and methods in this direction. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in the Saturday Interview programme on Radio Svoboda.
According to the Head of Government, the program pursues two goals: first of all, to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as to motivate people to get immunized against COVID-19.
"We will support the 5 areas of business that suffered the most during the pandemic. These are the creative industries, cinemas and theaters, museums, sports centers and domestic rail and air transport. This support will be significant, given that we aim to vaccinate 20-24 million Ukrainians," accentuated Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister added that all citizens of Ukraine vaccinated with two doses would have a chance to use the program, regardless of when they got inoculated.
"Those who have the appropriate COVID certificates will be able to use the program through the Diia application or portal. The Diia will form a virtual payment card, which can be used to pay for services in certain areas," said the Head of Government.
Denys Shmyhal told that the program will run from December 19 this year to December 18 next year.
