Day 521 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.
During the day of July 28, the russian federation launched a missile attack on the city of Dnipro, using 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles. In addition, the enemy launched 11 air strikes and 38 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the attacks have caused civilian casualties, damaged residential buildings and other civilian and administrative infrastructure.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
During the day of July 28, there were 27 combat engagements.
Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Halahanivka, Leonivka (Chernihiv oblast), Iskryskivshchyna, and Volfyne (Sumy oblast). The invaders fired mortars and artillery at more than 20 settlements, including Ivashky, Huryiv Kozachok, Udy, Strilecha, Zelene, and Okhrimivka (Kharkiv oblast).
Kupyansk axis: the adversary launched an air strike in the vicinity of Druzhelyubivka (Kharkiv oblast). Kolodyazne, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Synkivka, and Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire of the adversary.
Lyman axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinities of Serebryanske forestry and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast). russian forces launched an air strike near Hryhorivka (Donetsk oblast). The settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast) were shelled with artillery.
Bakhmut axis: more than 15 settlements, including Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Predtechyne, and Bila Hora (Donetsk oblast), suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
Avdiyivka axis: the enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of Avdiyivka. The invaders fired artillery at more than 10 settlements, including Avdiyivka, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka (Donetsk oblast).
Maryinka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the russian offensive in the vicinity of the city of Maryinka. The adversary shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Pobjeda, and Heorhiyivka (Donetsk oblast).
Shakhtarske axis: the enemy shelled the settlements of Odradne, Blahodatne, Makarivka, Zelene Pole, and Novodarivka (Donetsk Oblast).
Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary focuses its main efforts on preventing further advance of Ukrainian troops. More than 25 settlements came under artillery fire, including Chervone, Hulyaipole, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Stepove (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Kozatske, Tyahynka, Ivanivka, and Sadove (Kherson oblast). At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct the offensive operation on Melitopol and Berdyansk axes, consolidating their positions, firing artillery for effect on the identified enemy targets, and conducting counter-battery fire.
Forced passportization of Ukrainian citizens continues in the temporarily occupied territories. Thus, in order to step up moral pressure on the residents of the temporarily occupied Horlivka (Donetsk oblast) and to force them to obtain russian citizenship, the occupiers instructed local businesses of all forms of ownership to provide the so-called “Ministry of State Security of the Donetsk People’s Republic” with lists of employees who have not received a russian passport. The deadline for fulfilling the instruction is 1 January 2024. At the same time, the occupation administration of the settlement of Blahovishchenka (Zaporizhzhia oblast) is taking measures to encourage local residents to obtain russian citizenship. In particular, it offers pensioners a cash reward of 50,000 russian rubles.
During the day of July 28, Ukrainian Air Force launched 3 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the adversary.
During the day of May 28, the Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 8 artillery systems at their firing positions, 2 electronic warfare stations, 1 ammunition depot, as well as 1 fuel and lubricant depot of the adversary.
