Day 541 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the day of August 17, the enemy launched 4x missile and 53x air strikes, 40x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

During the day of August 17, there were 33x combat engagements.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary fired mortars and artillery at more than 20x settlements, including Vylchyky, Mykolaivske (Chernihiv oblast), Pokrovka, Novodmytrivka, Ryasne (Sumy oblast), Okhrimivka, Mala Vovcha, Budarky, Stroivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupyansk axis: the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Synkivka (Kharkiv oblast). russian forces launched air strikes in the vicinities of Petropavlivka and Kucherivka (Kharkiv oblast). The following settlements were shelled with artillery and mortars: Dvorichna, Kupyansk, Kucherivka, Kurylivka, Krokhmalne (Kharkiv oblast), and Nadiya (Luhansk oblast).

Lyman axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast). The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampil, and Siversk (Donetsk oblast). About 20x settlements, including Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Spirne, Zvarivka, Fedorivka, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast), were shelled with artillery.

Bakhmut axis: the adversary attempted offensive operations in the vicinities of Bohdanivka and Bila Hora (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinity of Vasyukivka (Donetsk oblast). More than 20x settlements, including Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, Pivnichne, Zalizne, and Druzhba (Donetsk oblast), suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

Avdiivka axis: the adversary attempted offensive operations in the vicinities of settlement of Keramik (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novokalynove and Avdiivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery at more than 10x settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Stepove, Novoselivka Persha, and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).

Maryinka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the russian offensive in the vicinities of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery at more than 10x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Kostyantynivka, and Antonivka (Donetsk oblast).

Shakhtarske axis: the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain the lost position in the vicinity of Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast) and Novodarivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 10x settlements, including Vodyane, Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery shelling.

Zaporizhzhia axis: the adversary launched an air strike in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 25x settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Novodarivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Chervone, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne (Zaporizhzhia oblast).

Kherson axis: the enemy artillery shelled more than 15x settlements, including Antonivka, Zelenivka, Komyshany, Dniprovske, Kherson, Veletenske, Tomyna Balka (Kherson oblast), Kutsurub, and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct the offensive operation on Melitopol and Berdyansk axes, consolidating their positions, and conducting counter-battery fire.

During the day of August 17, Ukrainian Air Force launched 7x air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons, and military equipment, as well as 2x air strikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems of the adversary. Also, the Ukrainian defenders intercepted 2x Ka-52 helicopters and 4x operational-tactical level reconnaissance UAVs of the enemy.

During the day of August 17, the Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 4x artillery systems at their firing position, 2x ammunition depots, and 1x electronic warfare station of the adversary.
