Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 9, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 12,585 (654 children out of this number, 682 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 380,021.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,281 persons, 276 patients died, 14,554 persons recovered. There have been conducted 58,271 testing (37,822 using the PCR method and 20,449 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

845,343 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

451,118 people recovered;

14,204 people died;

4,876,501 testing have been conducted.

The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1,728), Odesa region (1,270), Kyiv region (943), Cherkasy region (815), Zaporizhia region (813).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
