Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 30, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 10,072 (391 children out of this number, 188 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 369,927.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 702,440 people have been vaccinated. On April 29, 2021, 73,376 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 1,084 people got CoviShield vaccine, 5,322 – CoronaVac vaccine, 3,856 – Comirnaty vaccine, 63,114 - AstraZeneka.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,117 persons, 307 patients died, 20,192 persons recovered. There have been conducted 90,101 testings (41,388 using the PCR method, 14,731 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 33,982).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 2,069,537 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 1,655,525 people recovered;

• 44,085 people died;

• 9,418,779 testings have been conducted.

The number of people with coronavirus disease in regions:

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
