  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 30, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 7,986 (272 children out of this number, 453 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 328,834.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2925 persons, 243 patients died, 16355 persons recovered. There have been conducted 52746 testing (35504 using the PCR method and 17242 using the ELISA method).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1,045,348 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 698190 people recovered;
    • 18324 people died;
    • 5,546,683 testing have been conducted.

    The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1,131), Zaporizhia region (739), Odesa region (729), Kyiv region (623), Dnipropetrovsk region (462) and Kharkiv region (412).

The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
