  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 20, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 5,165 (324 children out of this number, 109 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 205, 305.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 964,747 people have been vaccinated. On May 19, 2021, 17,943 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 420 people got CoviShield vaccine, 6,999 – CoronaVac vaccine, 4,104 – Comirnaty vaccine, 6,420 - AstraZeneka.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,884 persons, 203 patients died, 16,748 persons recovered. There have been conducted 69,732 testings (29,509 using the PCR method, 12,693 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 27,530).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    2,170,398 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

    1,916,194 people recovered;

    48,899 people died;

    9,943,891 testing have been conducted.
