Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 26, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 32,393 (4,847 children out of this number, 797 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 30,085,734 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15 250 202 people have been vaccinated. On January 26, 2022, 82 360 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 12 087 – CoronaVac vaccine, 60 971 – Comirnaty vaccine, 1 468 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 7 834.

Vaccination was carried out by 933 mobile immunization teams, 3,278 vaccination points and 438 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3 016 persons, 154 patients died, 5 237 persons recovered. There have been conducted 164 734 testings (94 996 using the PCR method, 7 288 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 62 450).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3 946 202 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3 601 952 people recovered;
  • 99 738 people died;
  • 17 756 198 testings have been conducted.
