Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 13, 2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 7,283 (566 children out of this number, 134 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 26,718,836 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,174,401 people have been vaccinated. On December 13, 2021, 129,742 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 43,984 – CoronaVac vaccine, 65,237 – Comirnaty vaccine, 13,612 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 6,909.

Vaccination was carried out by 820 mobile immunization teams, 3,333 vaccination points and 462 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,123 persons, 387 patients died, 27,130 persons recovered. There have been conducted 62,044 testings (27,241 using the PCR method, 7,488 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 27,315).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,570,448 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,233,009 people recovered;
  • 91,602 people died;
  • 16,333,417 testings have been conducted.
