Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 08, 2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 18,988 (1183 children out of this number, 426 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 19,584,77vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 11,546,723 people have been vaccinated. On November 08, 2021, 240,440 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 112,556 – CoronaVac vaccine, 103,029 – Comirnaty vaccine, 24,855 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 0.

Vaccination was carried out by 1026 mobile immunization teams, 3,168 vaccination points and 418 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,967 persons, 833 patients died, 16,609 persons recovered. There have been conducted 127,461 testings (53,555 using the PCR method, 14,861 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 59,045).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,107,489 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,537,565 people recovered;
  • 73,390 people died;
  • 14,930,139 testings have been conducted.
