  • Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 23, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 12,915 (1,826 children out of this number, 224 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 29,852,092 vaccines have been made.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15,164,118 people have been vaccinated. On January 23, 2022, 22,541 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 3,215 – CoronaVac vaccine, 16,032 – Comirnaty vaccine, 449 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 2,845.

    Vaccination was carried out by 348 mobile immunization teams, 1,895 vaccination points and 419 vaccination centers.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,836 persons, 67 patients died, 2,430 persons recovered. There have been conducted 50,680 testings (26,131 using the PCR method, 2,683 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 21,866).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 3,870,370 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 3,585,338 people recovered;
    • 99,282 people died;
    • 17,523,330 testings have been conducted.
