Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 2, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 13,777 (1,279 children out of this number, 222 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign,  25,159,558  vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,610,070 people have been vaccinated. On December 2, 2021, 206,710 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 83,761 – CoronaVac vaccine, 99,377 – Comirnaty vaccine, 0 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 23,572.

Vaccination was carried out by 1,024 mobile immunization teams, 3,289 vaccination points and 472 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,992 persons, 509 patients died, 22,893 persons recovered. There have been conducted 93,500 testings (46,506 using the PCR method, 9,973 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 37,021).


During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,477,649 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,018,620 people recovered;
  • 87,566 people died;
  • 16,009,215 testings have been conducted.
