Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 12, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 10, 046 (590 children out of this number, 255 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 29,125,670 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,909,168 people have been vaccinated. On January 12, 2022, 102,580 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 19,385 – CoronaVac vaccine, 74,728 – Comirnaty vaccine, 2,820 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 5,647.

Vaccination was carried out by 821 mobile immunization teams, 3,343 vaccination points and 448 vaccination centers. 

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,676 persons, 191 patients died, 7,202 persons recovered. There have been conducted 79,047 testings (36,660 using the PCR method, 6,072 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 36,315).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,727,034 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,537,826 people recovered;
  • 97,928 people died;
  • 17,071,469 testings have been conducted.
