  • Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 28, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 26,870 (1,824 children out of this number, 491 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 17,082799 vaccines have been made.

    The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 9,790,280. On October 28, 2021, 289,241 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 100,996 - CoronaVac vaccine, 127,339 – Comirnaty vaccine, 60,906 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 0.

    Vaccination was carried out by 1,103 mobile immunization teams, 3,189 vaccination points and 408 vaccination centers.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 5,463 persons, 648 patients died, 9,784 persons recovered. There have been conducted 142,227 testings (74,027 using the PCR method,
    20,592 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 47,658).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,878,674 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,421,495 people recovered;
    • 66,852 people died;
    • 14,306,108 testings have been conducted.
