Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of September 28, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 9,666 (953 children out of this number, 204 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 12,491,987 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 6,926,719 people have been vaccinated. On September 28, 2021, 132,246 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 39,415 – CoronaVac vaccine, 68,458 – Comirnaty vaccine, 24,373 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 0.

Vaccination was carried out by 897 mobile immunization teams, 3,063 vaccination points and 345 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,855 persons, 217 patients died, 3,281 persons recovered. There have been conducted 92,829 testings (42,132 using the PCR method, 10,973 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 39,724).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 2,411,622 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 2,251,352 people recovered;

• 56,080 people died;

• 12,783,263 testings have been conducted.

The number of people with coronavirus disease in regions:

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
