Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 26,2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,032 (127 children out of this number, 46 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 8,636,045 people have been vaccinated.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 5,208,200. On August 26, 2021, 173,435 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 42,199 - CoronaVac vaccine, 53,369 – Comirnaty vaccine, 12,693 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 1,291 Moderna – 63,883.

Vaccination was carried out by 1,051 mobile immunization teams, 2,974 vaccination points and 332 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 838 persons, 66 patients died, 1,253 persons recovered. There have been conducted 53,486 testings (23,049 using the PCR method, 7,219 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 23,218).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,280,203 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,204,682 people recovered;
  • 53,632 people died;
  • 11,903,521 testings have been conducted.
