
Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 27, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 22,574 (1,532 children out of this number, 399 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 16,501,573 vaccines have been made.
The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 9,363,493. On October 26, 2021, 291,293 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 100,052 - CoronaVac vaccine, 136,967 – Comirnaty vaccine, 54,274 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 0.
Vaccination was carried out by 1,164 mobile immunization teams, 3,220 vaccination points and 384 vaccination centers.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 5,925 persons, 692 patients died, 11,593 persons recovered. There have been conducted 147,563 testings (72,231 using the PCR method,
20,345 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 54,987).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 2,825,733 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 2,401,705 people recovered;
- 65,628 people died;
- 14,154,508 testings have been conducted.
