Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 24, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 19,118 (2,809 children out of this number, 594 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 29,921,638 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15,191,379 people have been vaccinated. On January 24, 2022, 69,546 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 11,142 – CoronaVac vaccine, 50,093 – Comirnaty vaccine, 1,482 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 6,829.

Vaccination was carried out by 876 mobile immunization teams, 3,196 vaccination points and 419 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,507 persons, 161 patients died, 5,863 persons recovered. There have been conducted 110,121 testings (58,184 using the PCR method, 6,374 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 45,563).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,889,488 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,591,201 people recovered;
  • 99,443 people died;
  • 17,581,514 testings have been conducted.
