Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 23, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 6,647 (519 children out of this number, 107 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 27,834,543 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,537,066 people have been vaccinated. On December 23, 2021, 113,882 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 32,386 – CoronaVac vaccine, 59,699 – Comirnaty vaccine, 5,558 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 16,239.

Vaccination was carried out by 864 mobile immunization teams, 3,331 vaccination points and 458 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,646 persons, 248 patients died, 14,874 persons recovered. There have been conducted 62,971 testings (28,013 using the PCR method, 5,889 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 29,069).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,637,038 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,408,294 people recovered;
  • 94,432 people died;
  • 16,626,864 testings have been conducted.
