Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 22, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 7,312 (585 children out of this number, 182 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 27,720,661 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,500,520 people have been vaccinated. On December 22, 2021, 117,443 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 33,749 – CoronaVac vaccine, 61,182 – Comirnaty vaccine, 6,482 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 16,030.

Vaccination was carried out by 843 mobile immunization teams, 3,356 vaccination points and 468 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,691 persons, 275 patients died, 16,521 persons recovered. There have been conducted 70,136 testings (32,402 using the PCR method, 6,665 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 31,069).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,630,391 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,393,420 people recovered;
  • 94,184 people died;
  • 16,598,851 testings have been conducted.
