Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 14, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 8,109 (707 children out of this number, 182 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 26,861,757 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,221,538 people have been vaccinated. On December 14, 2021, 142,921 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 51,102 – CoronaVac vaccine, 66,534 – Comirnaty vaccine, 15,139 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 10,146.

Vaccination was carried out by 844 mobile immunization teams, 3,341 vaccination points and 457 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,280 persons, 356 patients died, 26,307 persons recovered. There have been conducted 79,090 testings (38,008 using the PCR method, 8,984 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 32,098).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,578,557 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,259,316 people recovered;
  • 91,958 people died;
  • 16,371,425 testings have been conducted.
