Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 11, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 11,996 (1,262 children out of this number, 227 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,807,133 vaccines have been made.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 7,609,049. On October 11, 2021, 123,230 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 37,178 - CoronaVac vaccine, 63,253 – Comirnaty vaccine, 22,799 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 0.

Vaccination was carried out by 920 mobile immunization teams, 2,913 vaccination points and 351 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,274 persons, 352 patients died, 5,419 persons recovered. There have been conducted 93,732 testings (46,233 using the PCR method, 8,913 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 38,586).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,562,085 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,297,899 people recovered;
  • 59,052 people died;
  • 13,323,492 testings have been conducted.
