
Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 10, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,122 (54 children out of this number, 31 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection).
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 6, 846,399 vaccines have been made.
On August 10, 2021, 167,673 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 39,826 - CoronaVac vaccine, 59,497 – Comirnaty vaccine, 8,612 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 59,738.
Vaccination was carried out by 965 mobile immunization teams, 2,774 vaccination points and 325 vaccination centers.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 648 persons, 25 patients died, 1,160 persons recovered. There have been conducted 53,200 testings (23,633 using the PCR method, 8,963 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 20,604).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 2,261,354 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 2,193,752 people recovered;
- 53,149 people died;
- 11,582,812 testings have been conducted.
