Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of 9:00 a.m. on June 10, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 28,381 COVID-19 cases, 833 patients died, 12,769 people recovered. During the 24 hours, 525 new cases have been confirmed.

A total of 445,940 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method and 52,012 samples using ELISA method.

In total 2,073 cases among children and 5,184 cases among healthcare workers were recorded. 20,025 patients, out of this number 1,741 children and 4,198 medical workers have been undergoing outpatient treatment. A total of 8,356 people were hospitalized, including 332 children and 986 healthcare workers. There are 306 people, including 1 child and 29 healthcare workers, having severe symptoms and undergoing treatment with the use of artificial lung ventilation machines.

As of June 10, coronavirus disease was registered:

  • Vinnytsia region – 1,192 cases (767 recovered);
  • Volyn region – 1,214 cases (310 recovered);
  • Dnipropetrovsk region - 973 cases (673 recovered);
  • Donetsk region - 246 cases (121 recovered);
  • Zhytomyr region - 973 cases (501 recovered);
  • Zakarpattia region – 1,448 cases (628 recovered);
  • Zaporizhia region – 502 cases (296 recovered);
  • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1,622 cases (992 recovered);
  • Kirovohrad region - 562 cases (422 recovered);
  • Kyiv – 3,580 cases (985 recovered);
  • Kyiv region – 1,865 cases (595 recovered);
  • Lviv region – 2,289 cases (557 recovered);
  • Luhansk region - 54 cases (43 recovered);
  • Mykolaiv region - 309 cases (199 recovered);
  • Odesa region - 1028 cases (418 recovered);
  • Poltava region - 276 cases (256 recovered);
  • Rivne region – 2,122 cases (1,115 recovered);
  • Sumy region - 198 cases (159 recovered);
  • Ternopil region – 1,313 cases (987 recovered);
  • Kharkiv region – 1,338 cases (626 recovered);
  • Kherson region – 179 cases (172 recovered);
  • Khmelnytsky region - 520 cases (348 recovered);
  • Chernivtsi region – 3,757 cases (1,171 recovered);
  • Cherkasy region - 501 cases (346 recovered);
  • Chernihiv region - 320 cases (81 recovered).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
