  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of 9:00 a.m. on June 12, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 29,753 COVID-19 cases, 870 patients died, 13,464 people recovered. During the 24 hours, 683 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 468,172 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method and 68,557 samples using ELISA method.

    As of June 12, coronavirus disease was registered:

    Vinnytsia region – 1,317 cases (832 recovered);

    Volyn region – 1,313 cases (378 recovered);

    Dnipropetrovsk region - 983 cases (702 recovered);

    Donetsk region - 279 cases (122 recovered);

    Zhytomyr region – 1,013 cases (540 recovered);

    Zakarpattia region – 1,506 cases (675 recovered);

    Zaporizhia region – 515 cases (322 recovered);

    Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1,669 cases (1,001 recovered);

    Kirovohrad region - 568 cases (453 recovered);

    Kyiv – 3,766 cases (1,132 recovered);

    Kyiv region – 1,931 cases (648 recovered);

    Lviv region – 2,526 cases (598 recovered);

    Luhansk region - 54 cases (45 recovered);

    Mykolaiv region - 316 cases (206 recovered);

    Odesa region – 1,065 cases (422 recovered);

    Poltava region - 277 cases (256 recovered);

    Rivne region – 2,231 cases (1,194 recovered);

    Sumy region - 204 cases (161 recovered);

    Ternopil region – 1,372 cases (1,007 recovered);

    Kharkiv region – 1,426 cases (692 recovered);

    Kherson region – 179 cases (174 recovered);

    Khmelnytsky region - 529 cases (387 recovered);

    Chernivtsi region – 3,831 cases (1,200 recovered);

    Cherkasy region - 517 cases (352 recovered);

    Chernihiv region - 366 cases (81 recovered).

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of morning June 12, 2020, there have been received 1,224 suspicions of COVID-19 infection. Overall, from the start of the year, there have been received 69,521 suspicions.

    The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
