Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 28, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 9,590 (451 children out of this number, 217 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 387,556.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 558,716 people have been vaccinated. On April 27, 2021, 19,590 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 2,310 people got CoviShield vaccine, 7,130 – CoronaVac vaccine, 5,020 – Comirnaty vaccine, 5,130 - AstraZeneka.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,623 persons, 441 patients died, 20,062 persons recovered. There have been conducted 99,112 testings (43,841 using the PCR method, 15,489 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 39,782).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 2,047,838 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 1616891 people recovered;

• 43391 people died;

• 9,335,892 testings have been conducted.

The number of people with coronavirus disease in regions:

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
