  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 27, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 355, 601 COVID-19 cases, 145,336 people recovered, 6,590 patients died. During the 24 hours, 6,677 new cases have been officially confirmed. In total 3,087,288 samples were tested using the PCR method.

    During the 24 hours in Ukraine:

    • 15,997 people with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 are undergoing in-hospital treatment;
    • 1,022 people (including 36 children) were hospitalized, including 41 health workers;
    • 502 people undergo lung ventilation treatment;
    • 2,799 people (138 children) have recovered, including 192 medical workers;
    • 126 deaths were reported;
    • there have been conducted 33,361 testing using the PCR method, 23,349 – using the ELISA method.

    As of October 27, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 9 506 cases;
    • Volyn region – 12 635 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 13 418 cases;
    • Donetsk region – 8 819 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 12 878 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 13 345 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 8 463 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 18 915 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region – 2 157 cases;
    • Kyiv – 34 887 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 15 156 cases;
    • Lviv region – 28 086 cases;
    • Luhansk region – 3 321 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region – 7 194 cases;
    • Odesa region – 22 640 cases;
    • Poltava region – 8 350 cases;
    • Rivne region – 18 003 cases;
    • Sumy region – 10 810;
    • Ternopil region – 19 522;
    • Kharkiv region – 33 806;
    • Kherson region – 3 344;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 13 845;
    • Chernivtsi region – 20 117;
    • Cherkasy region – 8 301;
    • Chernihiv region – 8 083.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
