Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 24, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 13,882 (684 children out of this number, 615 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 342,588.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1818 persons, 229 patients died, 8420 persons recovered. There have been conducted 75,396 testing (45,438 using the PCR method and 29,958 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 661,858 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 307,778 people recovered;
  • 11,492 people died;
  • 4,324,463 testing have been conducted.

The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Dnipropetrovsk region (1,255 cases), Zaporizhia region (1086), Kyiv city (980), Odesa region (976), Kyiv region (961).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
