  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 11, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 13,514 (638 children out of this number, 690 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 377,125.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,846 persons, 285 patients died, 15,327 persons recovered. There have been conducted 60,847 testing (39,519 using the PCR method and 21,328 using the ELISA method).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 872,228 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 480,348 people recovered;
    • 14,755 people died;
    • 4,957,299 testing have been conducted.

    The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1,880), Zaporizhia region (895), Odesa region (874), Kyiv region (787), Dnipropetrovsk region (759).

The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
