Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 11, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 9,084 (442 children out of this number, 348 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 187,591.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 29,378 people have been vaccinated, of whom 29,378 have received 1 dose, and 0 have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

On March 10, 2021, 5,898 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 5,898 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 people.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 4250 persons, 262 patients died, 5330 persons recovered. There have been conducted 106 464 testing (47365 using the PCR method, 18615 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 40 484).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1425522 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1210246 people recovered;
  • 27685 people died;
  • 7235711 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
