  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 4, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 10,057 (611 children out of this number, 388 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 161, 298.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 9,568 people have been vaccinated, of whom 9,568 have received 1 dose, and 0 have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

    On March 3, 2021, 2,680 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 2,680 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 people.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3271 persons, 194 patients died, 4837 persons recovered. There have been conducted 84982 testings (38068 using the PCR method, 16265 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 30649).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1374762 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1186873 people recovered;
    • 26591 people died;
    • 7021993 testing have been conducted.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

    The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
