Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 29, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 8,346 (344 children out of this number, 140 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 316,777.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 198,465 people have been vaccinated, of whom 198,464 have received 1 dose, and 1 person have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).
On March 28, 2021, 1,585 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 1,585 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 people.
Immunization campaign has been conducted by 168 mobile teams and 483 vaccination points.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,129 persons, 178 patients died, 2,875 persons recovered. There have been conducted 39,732 testings (24,404 using the PCR method, 5,631 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 9,697).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 1,652,409 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 1,303,500 people recovered;
- 32,132 people died;
- 8,007,427 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
