Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 27, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 7,915 (336 children out of this number, 202 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 398,469.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 539,126 people have been vaccinated. On April 25, 2021, 11,100 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 1,900 people got CoviShield vaccine, 5,602 – CoronaVac vaccine, 3,588 – Comirnaty vaccine, 10 - AstraZeneka.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,650 persons, 432 patients died, 17,391 persons recovered. There have been conducted 72,239 testings (35,761 using the PCR method, 15,133 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 21,345).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 2,038,248 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 1,596,829 people recovered;
• 42,950 people died;
• 9,292,051 testings have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. 

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
