  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of July 23, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 61,851 COVID-19 cases, 34,000 people recovered, 1,551 patients died. During the 24 hours, 856 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 921,858 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method.

    As of July 23, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 2,416 cases;
    • Volyn region – 3,401 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,275 cases;
    • Donetsk region - 818 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 1,654 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 4,641 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 700 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 3,765 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region - 689 cases;
    • Kyiv – 7,278 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 3,391 cases;
    • Lviv region – 8,462 cases;
    • Luhansk region - 116 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region - 530 cases;
    • Odesa region – 2,691cases;
    • Poltava region - 371 cases;
    • Rivne region – 5,303 cases;
    • Sumy region – 393;
    • Ternopil region – 2,548;
    • Kharkiv region – 3,203;
    • Kherson region – 218;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 1,008;
    • Chernivtsi region – 5,443;
    • Cherkasy region – 870;
    • Chernihiv region – 667.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
