Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 18, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 14,575 (549 children out of this number, 613 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1728 persons, 229 patients died, 7845 persons recovered. There have been conducted 70752 testing (45957using the PCR method and 24795 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 598085 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 274324 people recovered;
  • 10598 people died;
  • 4108825 testing have been conducted.

The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1391 cases), Dnipropetrovsk region (1174), Kyiv region (1080), Khmelnytsky region (805), Sumy region (748).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
