  • Update on the spread of 2019-nCoV coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 20, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 309,107 COVID-19 cases, 129,533 people recovered, 5,786 patients died. During the 24 hours, 5,469 new cases have been officially confirmed.

    A total of 2,847,376 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 3,044 patients have recovered.

    As of October 20, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 8 523 cases;
    • Volyn region – 11 164 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 11 393 cases;
    • Donetsk region – 7 389 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 10 471 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 11 956 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 6 616 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 16 987 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region – 1 642 cases;
    • Kyiv – 31 310 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 13 166 cases;
    • Lviv region – 25 392 cases;
    • Luhansk region – 2 576 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region – 6 053 cases;
    • Odesa region – 19 343 cases;
    • Poltava region – 6 300 cases;
    • Rivne region – 16 184 cases;
    • Sumy region – 9 321;
    • Ternopil region – 17 738;
    • Kharkiv region – 29 559;
    • Kherson region – 2 629;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 11 239;
    • Chernivtsi region – 18 081;
    • Cherkasy region – 7 095;
    • Chernihiv region – 6 980.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
