  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 15, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 281,239 COVID-19 cases, 119,650 people recovered, 5,302 patients died. During the 24 hours, 5,062 new cases have been officially confirmed.

    A total of 2,695,488 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 951 patients have recovered.

    As of October 15, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 7 941 cases;
    • Volyn region – 10 320 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 9 834 cases;
    • Donetsk region – 6 491 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 9 130 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 11 305 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 6 012 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 15 955 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region – 1 440 cases;
    • Kyiv – 28 957 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 11 978 cases;
    • Lviv region – 23 806 cases;
    • Luhansk region – 2 125 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region – 5 207 cases;
    • Odesa region – 17 511 cases;
    • Poltava region – 5 226 cases;
    • Rivne region – 15 186 cases;
    • Sumy region – 7 983;
    • Ternopil region – 16 700;
    • Kharkiv region – 26 913;
    • Kherson region – 2 195;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 9 230;
    • Chernivtsi region – 17 004;
    • Cherkasy region – 6 157;
    • Chernihiv region – 6 179.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
