Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 13, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 6,409 (187 children out of this number, 367 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 283,754.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,564 persons, 195 patients died, 14,503 persons recovered. There have been conducted 59,931 testing (35,678 using the PCR method and 24,253 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1,130,839 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 826,871 people recovered;
  • 20,214 people died;
  • 5,841,502 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
