Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 11, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 5,039 (277 children out of this number, 281 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 135,092.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1784 persons, 124 patients died, 6568 persons recovered. There have been conducted 43126 testing (26739 using the PCR method and 16387 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1258094 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1098944 people recovered;
  • 24058 people died;
  • 6474315 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
