  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 10, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 13,371 (652 children out of this number, 580 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 379,223.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,993 persons, 266 patients died, 13,903 persons recovered. There have been conducted 67,142 testing (41,279 using the PCR method and 25,863 using the ELISA method).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 858,714 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 465,021 people recovered;
    • 14,470 people died;
    • 4,917,780 testing have been conducted.

    The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1,899), Zaporizhia region (1,060), Dnipropetrovsk region (835), Cherkasy region (721), Kharkiv region (719).

The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
