  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 1, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 17,569 (813 children out of this number, 486 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 335, 408.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 248,736 people have been vaccinated, of whom 248,734 have received 1 dose, and 2 persons have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

    On March 31, 2021, 17,170 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 17,170 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 person.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 5,160 persons, 421 patients died, 9,602 persons recovered. There have been conducted 132,759 testings (59,803 using the PCR method, 22,276 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 50,680).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1,691,737 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1,323,083 people recovered;
    • 33,246 people died;
    • 8,179,905 testing have been conducted.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
